Who we are
Our Story
Woodson started over 10 years ago when Joe’s Mum was looking for a bespoke log store. After not finding the ‘perfect store’……too flimsy, not attractive enough, same as every other log store, Joe decided he would build a store made from chunky timber post and a reclaimed slate roof. It was a success and soon the orders were rolling in.
At the time Joe was working as a Building Surveyor for a Architectural company, this is where he met Elliott. Woodson and Son kept growing and soon both Joe and Elliott were transferring their construction and design based skills into growing Woodson into the company that it is today.
Woodson now have a main workshop in the picturesque Peak District and have installed our products all over the UK. We still adhere to our original values of producing beautiful, solid products with customer service at the forefront.
The Woodson Team
Joe
Joe started Woodson and Son back in 2014 and since then he has been developing Woodson into the brand it is today.
Joe oversees the day to day running of the business as well as getting stuck in to the production of the stores and installations. Many moons ago Joe worked in the construction industry as a Building and Party Wall surveyor, he now takes that technical knowledge and eye for detail from buildings to timber structures.
Elliott
As a trained Building Surveyor and Senior Architectural Technician, Elliott has worked in Architecture for more than 15 years.
He has a keen eye for detail producing our Oak frame designs and can advise on Planning Permission, Building Regulations and technical design matters.
Elliott’s skills do not stop there, you are likely to find him in the workshop and on-site during installation, producing your project from concept to completion.
Jen
Jen has a background in IT and looks after all things tech at Woodson.
Day to day Jen runs our Socials and can often be found helping the technological dinosaurs (Joe) with any issues. Mainly when Joe can’t figure out how to turn off the mute button on zoom calls.
